The Niagara Escarpment Commission is pleased
to announce the release of the
Leading Edge 2001: Focus on the Biosphere Conference Proceedings
on CD-Rom.
Leading Edge 2001, the fifth in the series,
was one of the most significant conferences to date. The
event brought together more than 200 participants from Canada,
Ontario and some from the U.S. to exchange ideas and network.
The proceedings consist of more than 30 papers
as well as numerous paper and poster abstracts. The papers
and abstracts explore three interrelated themes: communities
in action; scientific research, environmental monitoring
and conservation projects; and, demonstrations of sustainable
development. Summaries of the keynote speeches and workshops
are also included for reference.
