Presentations

Barbara Halsall of Protect Our Water and Environmental Resources (POWER) discusses the group's ecological restoration and education project, Trees 2000: Restoring Our Ecosystems.

David Hunt talks about the Friends of Short Hills Provincial Park, a community-based organization that is dedicated to preserving the cultural and natural integrity of the Park through volunteer work, public education and fund-raising activities.

Dr. Jim Molnar gives an overview of Coalition on the Niagara Escarpment (CONE), which was formed in 1978 as a project of the Federation of Ontario Naturalists.

Andrew Promaine's presentation focuses on ecosystem management at Bruce Peninsula National Park, in particular the Park's Human Dimensions Program.

Mark Wiercinski with the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association discusses efforts to form the Escarpment's first Biosphere Reserve Committee.
