Teaching Resource: Monitoring Aquatic Ecosystems of the Bruce Peninsula

Grade 10 students of Bruce Peninsula District School have produced a water quality project in their science course. The Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association has supported this endeavor with funds for their equipment each year.

Students involved have the opportunity to directly observe the effects of development on aquatic ecosystems through a comparative study of the lakes.

The project has spurred the production of a water quality assessment and monitoring report, entitled Monitoring Aquatic Ecosystems of the Bruce Peninsula.
